Toronto Catholic District School Board

Grade Eight Graduation

Tuesday, June 13, 2017 will always be a special date in the minds of the grade eights, for that was the day that signalled the end of our elementary life and the beginning of our high school days.

We graduated. Taking place in the Precious Blood Parish, the night began with a performance of O Canada by the graduates, a guest appearance by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and a lovely mass. We then received our diplomas before hearing the speech that the wonderful Valedictorians (Jonathan Mathews and Isabella Spataro) worked so hard on. Then began the Conferring of Awards. Medals and plaques were given out to many students, and all the stress from our grade eight year finally paid off. It truly was a terrific event. Little did we know that when we traversed to the basement for the party, it would only become more memorable. Ending at 10pm, we all bid each other adieu, wishing that the night would not end.

Overall, the day was successful and will last in our minds of who attended as a life changing moment. Congratulations to the Precious Blood Catholic School graduates of 2017, and I wish everyone the best of luck for years to come!
