Early Settlers Day

On Friday, March 25th, the grade 3 classes stepped back in time and dressed up as children in the 1830’s. They invited the Pickering Pioneer Museum into their classes where they learned about life as an early settler.  They learned about some common parlour games played by children some historical context to help students understand how the games originated. They also had fun participating in a spelling, elocution and an arithmetic class with their headmaster Mr. Edmonds.
