Cast.JPGMonday April 23.

Children were sneaking down the hallways.     Did you see them?       Who were they?

The Purple Fairy, Collodi Cricket, Geppetto and yes, even Pinocchio, were spotted hiding out in the library.

That's right!  It was the day of the much anticipated Pinocchio Performance.  While students in grades 1 to 5 waited to begin the dress rehearsal, Mrs. Giovanatto handed out costumes, and then feverishly applied make-up to 20 cast members.  Sam The DJ set up sound equipment, microphones and speakers in the gymnasium, and

Grade 1.JPGMrs. Potkidis made announcements, took care of last minute details and supervised the cast in the library.  Mrs. Grande-Naccarato checked props, prepared music, searched for missing masks, and fixed Pinocchio's nose- yet again!  What great memories we all have of that day!

CONGRATULATIONS to the members of the cast who willingly -most of the time- rehearsed during lunch hours and recesses for several months.  Some of these students also served as stage crew and prompter.  What a beautiful backdrop drawn and painted by one of our grade 7 students who provided behind the scenes assistance with her friend as well.  All the actors put on a wonderful performance.

Classes from grades 1 to 5 supported the action on stage with their lively music and well-rehearsed actions and movements.  What a feast for the eyes!    Pinocchio.JPG
