School Information 
School Hours:
School Begins at 9:00a.m. each morning and at 1:05 p.m. each afternoon.
Supervision is in the yard between 8:45a.m. and 9:00a.m.
LUNCH: 12:05 p.m. to 1:05 p.m.
RECESSES: 10:10 a.m. AND 2:10 p.m.
DISMISSAL: 3:30 p.m.
Student Attendance
We ask for your co-operation in helping us to continue our safe arrival/dismissal program.
A.  If you know that your child will be absent from school, please phone the school
      before 8:30 a.m. and leave a message on our answering machine.
B.  If your child will be absent for the afternoon, please call between 1:00 p.m. and 1:15
C.  In the event that your child is absent and we do not hear from you, we will call you at
      home or at work.
D.  It is required that when your child returns, he/she must bring a note to the teacher
      stating the reason for the absence if we have been unable to contact you.
E.  If your child must leave early,  please put this request in writing, indicating the
     time your child is to be dismissed and the reason for the request.
F.  It is of utmost importance that we are able to contact you in case of an emergency. 
     If there has been any change in address, home/work phone numbers or Emergency
     information, it is imperative that the office be informed immediately.
G.  If there is going to be a change in dismissal procedures for your child on a daily
      basis (such as not going on the school bus), this information is to be sent to the   
      teacher in writing
H.  If your child is to be picked up by a different person, please inform the teacher
      in writing.
Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up
The time of heaviest volume is the time between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. and 3:15 and 4:00 p.m. Safety patrol students and adults are available from 8:45 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. to assist with dropping off your child. If you are picking up your child, please park your car and meet them on the sidewalk. This practice will avoid children crossing the parking lot to meet their parents who are waiting in their car.
Thank you for helping to keep our main floor hallway clear by meeting your children outside the doors in the school yard. . Absolutely no one is to park in the bus loading zone. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Inclement Weather
In the morning- 8:45 a.m. Children will be allowed into the gym and will be supervised before school.
In the afternoon-3:30 p.m. Bus students will wait in the gym.
Visitors to the School
All visitors are required to use the main entrance.  All visitors to the school, including parents/guardians, are required to report to the office first when entering the school.  The following procedures are necessary to minimize disruptions during class time, ensure students’ safety, and maintain school routines:
* Always check in at the office when visiting, so that all adults in the building are known to us.
* If you are bringing your child’s lunch, please check in at the office and leave the lunch on the lunch table.
* Students should not be accompanied to the classroom.  If a student arrives late, they must report to the office for a late 
* Parents picking up their children at school are asked to wait outside at the designated exit area to avoid disruption of
  classroom routines.
* All exit doors will be locked throughout the day. The front door is locked at all times.  To enter please press the buzzer
  and the secretary will open the door.    
 Students are expected to:          
* Stay on school property
* Obtain permission from the teacher on duty to re-enter the school;
* Play in designated areas;
* Play ball games in designated areas only;
* NOT throw snowballs, ice, and other objects
* Not engage in any kind of rough play (i.e., wrestling, play fighting);
* Not bring baseballs, hard balls, and bats to school
* Stop playing promptly when the bell rings and move quickly and quietly to line;
* Keep the school yard clean by disposing of garbage in the garbage can.
