Welcome to the
Department of Business & Computer Studies
"Success in business
requires training and discipline and hard work. But if you’re not frightened by
these things, the opportunities are just as great today as they ever were." – David Rockefeller
"What’s important is that you have a faith in people, that they’re
basically good and smart, and if you give them tools, they’ll do wonderful
things with them." – Steve Jobs
The Department of Business and Computer Studies aims to give students the tools they need to become engaged
citizens, skilled workers, and informed consumers in today’s economy. Course
offerings include accounting, economics, marketing, computer science and
information technology, entrepreneurship, and more. Students gain practical
skills related to the business world and an understanding of how they can use
these skills to make a positive impact on society.
Our students will work in a world where employers and
employees must think like entrepreneurs, actively project a positive image, and
understand economic impacts and the crucial role of technology. Learning about
the economy, technology, and commerce also includes the human dimension, in
keeping with Pope Francis’s view that business should “serve more effectively
the common good”.
