At St. Bernard Catholic School our mission is to provide a caring Christian environment in which the qualities of self-esteem, creative thinking, a love of learning and respect for self and others are thoroughly and consistently nurtured. We believe that education is a life long process involving physical, mental, emotional and social development and that we must continually strive to develop in partnership with home school and parish. This link will assist students on their journey to become happy, responsible and contributing members of society.
St. Bernard provides a learning environment where models of Gospel values and Catholic doctrines are an integral to our school. The Fully Alive program provides our students with a firm foundation in their faith development. Examples of our living the faith include activities such as daily prayers, liturgical celebrations, monthly masses, charitable donations and parish priest’s visits. Our Grade 2 students receive the sacraments of First Holy Reconciliation and Communion together with their classmates. In addition, our Grade 8 students participate in an annual retreat in preparation for their Scarament of Confirmation. The school community supports them and celebrates together with them during these important events.
