Toronto Catholic District School Board

About Us

St. Bruno is not just the building and the facilities; it is a Christian family made up of staff and students working together. What we wish to achieve is a genuine Christian family spirit with everyone – staff, students, parents and parish working together on behalf of the students.

Under the leadership of their principal, teachers and other school staff members maintain the school climate reflective of gospel values and are expected to hold everyone to the highest standard of respectful and responsible behaviours.  Students are to be treated with respect and dignity.  In return, they must demonstrate respect for themselves, for others, and for the responsibilities of citizenship through acceptable behavior.

A safe, caring, healthy, St. Bruno Catholic School culture scaffolds student achievement, motivation and spiritual faith formation.  This climate also supports staff effectiveness and fulfillment.  The St. Bruno Catholic School culture is unique to our community and is nurtured through inclusive leadership, collaboration, consultation and communal prayer.

St. Bruno Catholic School is a place that promotes responsibility, civility and academic excellence in a safe learning and teaching environment.  A positive school climate exists when all members of the school community feel safe, comfortable and accepted.

Bullying Prevention, Character Development, Peer Mediation, Conflict Resolution, Social Skills are just a few examples of effective prevention and early intervention programs implemented and reinforced at our school.

Mission Statement

The Mission of St. Bruno Catholic School in partnership with its unique community is to educate each student to achieve full potential by building a safe, loving, bias-free and creative environment, which fosters our Christian responsibility within society.
