(January 2019)

Happy New Year! We hope that all of you had a lovely Christmas season with your families. The holidays may be over… but the fun continues! Wintertime brings our ever-popular annual Movie Night, which will take place in March. Further details about the event will be sent home in the coming weeks.
We know that many families also look forward to our annual Family Skate Night. We are currently in discussions with the City of Toronto about logistics for the event and hope to have more information for you soon.

Speaking of fun, we want to thank those of you who came out to support our first annual St. Clement Christmas Market that was held on December 6th. We had a lot of great vendors, and a fun and festive time was had by all! Thanks to Heather Marczynski, Alicia DaPonte, Mary Efraimidis and Katie Piccininni (as well as their team of volunteers) whose vision and hard work made the Christmas market such a success!

Congrats to the winners of our Christmas Cupcake Raffle, which was held before the holiday break, and thanks to Didy Perugini for organizing it!
And now that Christmas is behind us, we’re also back to thinking about QSP. Pick-a-prize forms (indicating the number of points that your child has earned) will be coming home in your child’s backpack within the month. Be sure to fill in your selected choice and return the form by the due date. On December 13th, all of the QSP cookie dough orders were delivered to the school. Thanks to everyone for ensuring that your cookie dough was picked up on that day – much appreciated! And also a big thank-you to the team of volunteer parents who made themselves available to help out at a very busy time of year! If there were any issues with any of the cookie dough orders, please contact Jenn Casuccio at as soon as possible so that we can have the issue dealt with.

A reminder that CSPC will also be bringing the Home Alone Program to our school! One evening next month, we will be offering a 2-hour Home Alone course for students that are in Grades 5 and up, as well as their parents. The course is free of charge and run by the City of Toronto. Help prepare your 10-14 year-old child to stay at home alone safely! Stay tuned for more info.

For those who are participating, don’t forget that this month’s Pizza Lunches are being held on Friday, January 11th and Friday, January 25th. The pizza form for orders between February and June, will be sent home this week and must be returned by January 16th. This month’s Subway Lunch will take place on Thursday, January 24th. There will also be a “SCS” Spirit Wear Campaign starting in February. Thanks to Lisa Lippa for organizing another campaign!

Our January CSPC meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 15th at 7:00pm. Looking forward to seeing many of you there! And at the start of this new year, we’d like to remind everyone to please properly fill out all CSPC forms – send in exact change, fill out any/all required fields on the form provided, fill out separate forms for each child. It is much appreciated by our parent volunteers!
As always, if you need to reach us, please email us at:
