URGENT CRITICAL LEARNING NEED - Schools have many learning needs.  This is the most urgent and critical learning need that will be addressed this year.

To understand key concepts and strategies to solve Multiple Choice in all strands with particular focus on Additive Reasoning and the  inverse relationship .
 

SMART GOAL - School goal for student learning that school will focus on achieving throughout the year.

To move 5 students (30% of the grade 6 class) from a level 2.7 to a level 3.0.  To increase the Grade 6 score from 17% to 50% by May 2019.

 

To move 5 students (25% of the grade 3 class) from a level 2.5 to a level 3.0.  To increase the Grade 6 score from 53% to 60% by May 2019.

 

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LEARNING

STAFF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CRITICAL NEED - In order to address the student urgent critical need of the school and to work toward the school’s SMART goal, the following professional development is required.

On October 5th we will work on:
Miscue Analysis
Review of IIR’s
Review of how to gear released questions towards grade level
Principal and Math Rep to meet with Assigned board level math coaches
Grade 6 teacher to work collaboratively with school assigned Math Coach
Google docs & Classroom


PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN - Professional learning topics that will be undertaken by staff throughout the year.


On October 28th Principal will meet with Debby Culotta and Earl Totten to discuss PD for staff:  Strategies on how to meet learning goals & move students.Google doc package.
On October 16th we will meet with SSLN groups to decide on a plan of action for collaboration with secondary and school wide math problem based on critical need.
