Nativity Scenes a Family Tradition for Custodian
On Tuesday December 5th, 2017 the St. Eugene Community was fortunate to have occasional custodian Francesco Ferrigno share a family tradition that dates back to Naples, Italy since 1836. Francesco’s family has been creating nativity scenes over many decades. Now, living in Canada, Francesco shares his talents with the St. Eugene community and TCDSB. Classes were invited to visit the gymnasium to see the intricate detail in each piece. This week, parents will also be privileged to see such craftsmanship. The Catholic Register will highlight this story in their Christmas issue on December 24th. Stay tuned for a video montage capturing Francesco’s story and amazing work.
