Light the Night Walk - Justin's Jedi

St. Francis of Assisi has a team that participates in the annual Light the Night walk, which is known as Justin's Jedi. Justin was diagnosed with Burkitts Lymphoma on April 1st 2014, just 3 years ago!

Immediately following diagnosis Justin had an operation to remove a tumour in his intestines and began a gruelling 9 month chemo treatment.September 28th,2014 would be the last time Justin received Chemo and checked out of Sick Kids as an inpatient. October 25th marks the 3rd Anniversary of his official last day of treatment and the beginning of this little guys amazing road to recovery. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada helps fund many different research initiatives to help find better treatments and ultimately a cure for blood cancers. I have seen and been part of some of the amazing work that they are doing, this is WHY WE WALK!
On Saturday Sept. 30th we will be setting up a booth at Golden Wheat Bakery & Pastry @ 652 College st. from 10:00am to 2:00pm to register people for the walk and take Donations. We will also be holding a raffle to help raise funds. If you can't make it to Golden Wheat but still want to Participate, click here to register yourself and become part of the team.
