2nd Family Pick Up and Drop Off Day

Monday, June 22, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. - 11: 00 a.m.

Due to Ontario's continued state of emergency all school buildings continue to remain closed.   On Monday, June 22, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., we are providing another opportunity for families to drop off their children's TCDSB school owned materials (i.e. text books, library books, musical instruments) and pick up their children's personal belongings from school if they were unable to come to the school last week.

  • All personal items from the student's desk/classroom have been removed, bagged, and labelled with the student's name and are available for pick up.

Process to Visit

The health and safety of individuals is of utmost importance.  It is critical that Public Health prevention measures be followed during any visits, including hand washing and physical distancing of at least 2 meters.  To be permitted a visit to the school the student/parent/guardian MUST conduct the Toronto Public Health COVID-19 self-assessment https://www.toronto.ca/home/covid-19/ along with the following:

  1. Be free of COVID-19 symptoms once arriving at the school.
  2. Have not been outside of Canada within the last 14 days prior to the visit to the school.
  3. Have not cared for or had known contact with an individual with confirmed COVID-19 or COVID-19 like symptoms (fever, new cough, difficulty breathing).

If any of the above conditions apply, then the student/parent/guardian MUST NOT visit the school.  A visit will be denied.  Other arrangements must be made.

If a school visit is permitted, then the following protocols will apply:

  • Parents/Guardians/Students will NOT enter the school.
  • Drop off and pick up of items will be at the exterior gym doors.
  • One parent/guardian per family will pick up and drop off items at the designated gym door in an attempt to minimize the volume of people in that area.
  • The parent/guardian may pick up personal items for their family members only; they may not retrieve items belonging to other families/students.
  • Physical distancing of at least 2 meters will be expected at all times.
  • Any items that have not been retrieved by the end of June, will be stored in a safe place until schools reopen.
