Students in Ms. Khalil submitted a film, for the first ever Toronto Catholic Film Festival. They created a  a film which captures the journeys that were taken, that eventually led students to the St. Jane Frances family. It reflects the diversity of each student’s cultural background, and shares insights on the strength, love and faith that is shared within the school family. The video explores the correlation between the Global and Local sense of belonging. Regardless of where we are from, St. Jane is a special place that connects us into One Faith, One School, One Family.
On April 21st, students in Ms. Khalil’s class and staff attended the film festival at the Cineplex Theatre (Yonge and Dundas), where the top 10 films were shown on the big screen. The top 3 winners were announced at the end of the screening. We thrilled to announce that St.Jane France’s film “One Faith, One School, One Family” came in first place. Staff and students worked very hard for months in creating this beautiful video, and we are very proud of the film. Congratulations to Ms. Khalil and the students in her Grade 7 class on this accomplishment. Thank you to Ms. Cammarota and her students for their help and dedication throughout this project. Also thank you to Ms. Kurnik, Ms. Terceira and Mr. Borsellino for their support, as well as Ms. Puri, Mr. Patel, staff and the St. Jane Frances family for their continued encouragement.   The Film can be viewed using the following link:
