  • Eternati had perked the interest of several US Colleges across the border since playing at Cardinal Leger Catholic School in grade 8.  Since this time, she has played four years for the same summer AAU Team “A-Game” coached by Yaw Afful.
  • The recruitment process was quite overwhelming for her and with the help of her family she had short listed to her top five schools:  University of North Carolina, University of Louisville, Michigan State University, and University of Pittsburgh.  All impressive schools with great women’s basketball programs and coaches.
  • University of North Carolina stood out for Eternati because of the reputation of head coach Sylvia Hatchell. Hatchell’s induction into the Naismith Hall of Fame cements her status as one of the greatest ever to coach the women’s game. The opportunity to play for a Coach with this kind of winning history was attractive.
  • Eternati had a couple of unofficial visits to UNC but it was after the official visit, having met the team and everyone connected to the Lady Tar Heels program that she knew this was the school for her.

Eternati and Danielle started basketball together and progressed with the help of several coaches and teams.  They began their rep club experience with Scarborough Basketball Association (SBA) Scarborough Blues and are now finishing up playing their last year with SBA in the Juel League.

Eternati and Danielle have been major members at St. John Paul II Catholic Secondary School.  Becoming senior players in grade 10, and helping the team win the city championships two years in a row, and going to the Provincial championship with an impressive silver medal finish in 2013.

Their coaches Steve Gazmin, Donald Lindo, Jill Forester and Josie Taccone have watched Eternati and Danielle for the past 4 years grow into the dominating players that they have become.

Eternati and Danielle were also essential players on the volleyball team in grade 9 and 10 and helped to being home a gold medal in the city championship.
