St. John Vianney wins First Book Scotiabank Reading Hero Challenge

Mrs. Quaglietta’s Grade1 class from St John Vianney School in Area 1, has been involved in an eight week Reading Book Challenge with eight other schools in both the TCDSB and other Boards. Students were given a unique opportunity of reading eight outstanding titles over an eight week period. This was a chance to further develop their reading and writing skills as well as nurture a love of reading.  Each week students were to share their thoughts and feelings being as creative and expressive about the books as possible using a flip chart. This flip chart was turned into a scrapbook of weekly submissions inclusive of at least three pages highlighting students learning.

St John Vianney School is proud to announce that Mrs. Quaglietta’s Grade 1 Class WON the challenge!
