Important Information:

All grade 9s should have received a timetable in their package.

Important information from Student Services:  If you are in grade 10, 11 or 12 and have received a timetable in this mailing, it means that your timetable is incomplete.  You will need to see a Guidance counsellor before the beginning of school.  The earlier you come the more choice you will have.  You will also need to see a guidance counsellor if you completed a compulsory course at summer school.  The office is open on the following dates: August 30th, 31st, and September 1st from  9:00 – 2:30.

Green Card:  Enclosed is a green card that we ask you to keep safe and handy as all important dates are listed for the entire school year.  On the back of the card are the uniform expectations.  We very much appreciate your support in ensuring your daughter is in full uniform each day before she leaves for school.  A parent handbook will be sent home with your daughter in the first week of school.

Lunches:  In order to ensure the safety of your daughter, we remind parents that all grade 9 and 10 students remain in the building for the lunch period.  We would encourage all students to use our excellent cafeteria provider called Foodshare.  They provide very affordable healthy organic lunches.

Use of Electronic Devices:  The presence of wireless technology enhances both student and teacher access to further the learning environment.  The policy for using electronic devices is outlined in the student agenda and parent handbook.

Attendance:  In the event that your daughter is absent or late for school, it is imperative that a parent or guardian contacts the school to inform us and to legitimize the absence or late.  Please call the school at 416-393 5514 ext. 2 to leave a message.  Also, please inform the office if your contact information changes.  It is imperative we have up-to-date information should we need to reach you in an emergency.

Family Trips:  Please avoid booking family trips during the school year.  Experience has taught us that this will compromise your daughter’s progress and restrict the teachers’ ability to cover all curriculum expectations.  These days will count as absences and extended absences will mean that a student will be demitted from our registers as per Ministry policy.

Catholic School Parent Council (CSPC): Our parent council assists administration in many important decisions and we welcome all new members.  Please join us for our first meeting on September 19th in the school library at 6:45pm.

Breakfast Program:  Every morning between the hours of 7:45 and 8:15 a.m., we serve a healthy breakfast to our students.  Please encourage your daughter to join us in the cafeteria for breakfast each morning

Study Studio:  Every Monday to Thursday, we have an afterschool tutoring program that offers any student who may need some extra help or just a place to complete their homework.  We also serve a heathy snack.  Please encourage your daughter to join us in the library.
