Celebrating Black History
St. Joseph's College celebrated Black History with an assembly rich in wisdom and performance. Artist and speaker, Tanika (iNsight) Riley began our event with a discussion on history, feminism, and allyship, all through the lens of art and poetry.
Our very own SJCS students from the United Sisters of Colour followed with their own performances, including spoken word poetry, skits, dances, and a final performance highlighting the lives that have been lost to racism and violence.
Thank you, again, to all student members of the United Sisters of Colour, for their hard work and time given to keep our school community aware and informed.
