CSPC - Catholic School Parent Council

With approval from the Board, the Catholic School Advisory Council (CSAC) recently underwent a name change to Catholic School Parents Council (CPSC). News items & resource documents uploaded prior to September 1st, 2015 may have their titles changed to reflect Catholic School Parents Council (CSPC), the text contained within the documents and pages may still contain the name Catholic School Advisory Council (CSAC).  Please note that these two titles are synonymous.

Here is what is coming up to watch out for?

?       St. Louis Custom Cards ? This fundraiser is great for custom made Christmas Cards or even Birthday Cards made by your child(ren).  Our school receives 50% of the proceeds.
?       Fundscrip Gift Cards ? These gift cards can be used for your everyday grocery shopping or given as gifts to someone for Christmas, Birthdays or Thank you cards.
?       Santa Pictures ? Last year we had a very successful turn out for Santa Pictures!  We hope to repeat that result this year.  Each picture is $5 or 3 pictures for $10.  Avoid the lines and high cost of mall Santas and have all your little ones take a Santa picture together with their siblings.  Pictures will be ready in plenty of time for Christmas.  THE DATE HAS NOT YET BEEN CONFIRMED.
?       Samko Sale ? This year we are excited to be partnering with Samko Toy Sales!  If you have shopped at Samko Sales in past years you will know what a great warehouse sale this is.  If you never have heard of it, check out the flyer or their website www.samkosales.com.
?       Family Skate Night -   Look for more information on this event coming up in the New Year.  The date is still to be determined.
?       Chapters Fundraising Night ?  All purchases made on this evening Chapters will support St. Louis by giving back 10% of the revenues made to the school.
?       Vesey's Bulbs Fundraiser ? Look for more information coming up in the Spring (April)

St. Louis CSPC ongoing fundraisers and activities?
?       Pizza Lunch ? Pizza lunches are a great ongoing fundraiser for our students to get involved in.  If you missed out on the first order, no worries!  New orders forms will be given out and collected every 3 months.  This special lunch is held twice a month on Tuesdays.
?       Civies Days ? Civies Days coincide with Pizza Lunches.  A suggested minimum donation of $1 per student allows students to wear something other than the blue and white school wear.  100% of all monies raised goes back to the students at St. Louis.
?       We collect Campbell?s labels, so please remember to remove the labels from the Campbell?s soup cans as well as all other Campbell products and drop them off at the school.  The full list of products can be found on labelsforeducation.ca website.
?       We collect Canadian Tire money, which is used to buy supplies for the school garden ? so please remember to drop off unwanted Canadian Tire money at the school
?       The St. Louis Parent Lending Library was established using a PRO Grant to engage and support parents.
The resource materials provide parents with curriculum and parenting materials to assist their children?s learning and development, such as: "The Top 50 Questions Kids ask Pre-K to Grade 2", "15 Minutes Outside", and "Raising your Spirited Child". There is also a selection of light hearted reads for parents such as "Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother"
and "Honey I Wrecked the Kids". The library is accessible to parents from September to June prior to each CSPC meeting.

Every little bit counts!!  All monies raised through all of the fundraisers throughout the year help our children and provide our small school with great resources and supplies.
