Principal’s Message
St. Margaret Catholic School is dedicated to a positive, Christ-centered environment, with a strong emphasis on student learning.  Staff, students and parents work collaboratively to achieve these central goals and we are proud that our collective efforts have established a climate within which our students can achieve their God given potential academically, in extra-curricular activities, and in student leadership roles.
Our CSAC has planned and supported parent engagement opportunities, such as the annual community barbeque and family literacy and numeracy evenings.  CSAC’s fundraising efforts have made additional opportunities, such as buses for excursions and the “Scientists in Schools” program, available to our students.
Our students are given many leadership opportunities, particularly with respect to a healthy school climate and social justice initiatives.  In particular, our “Me to We” team of intermediate students has been instrumental in organizing fundraisers for a variety of causes, both local and global.  Students new to Canada have assisted with our annual food drive, giving them a chance to gain a greater sense of belonging, while contributing to a good cause.  Our Homework Assistance Program has been a venue for secondary students to help younger students after school.  Annually, a group of our grade 7 students participates in the Camp Olympia leadership experience, preparing them to assume the many leadership activities lead by our grade 8 students.
