At St. Maria Goretti C.S., a new and exciting club was created for the students called the
Go Club. GO is a Japanese board game of skill. It helps with student's strategic knowledge, their concentration, and their cautiousness. With the initiation and strong support of Ina S, a grade 6 student, the new GO club was introduced early October for Grade 6 students. Ina was able to contact the President of the Canadian GO Association (CGA), James Sedgewick and the CGA Vice President, Tyler Reynolds to help start up our new club by providing wooden Go boards and the stones to play. Ina and the Go club look forward to introducing the club to all students in all the grades at SMG. GO GOretti!
