Welcome to the 2019/2020 School Year!

Welcome back to what promises to be a year of academic excellence and belonging. A very warm welcome is extended to any families who are new to our community and especially to our youngest members, our Early Language Learners and their parents. We hope that this first year of school will be an enjoyable and productive one for them. We are so happy to welcome you to our learning community.
I look forward to the 2019-20 school year and envision a year filled with excitement, faith, opportunity, and many reasons to celebrate. We continue to thrive as a community with our students doing extremely well in our EQAO and CAT 4 Testing and in our classroom learning. Our staff works hard to help your child develop the skills needed to be successfull.
As Catholic School Leaders, we are committed to fostering the development of all children. Parents, teachers, and students must work in partnership to provide a challenging, empowering and enriching learning environment where all children are given opportunities to reach their full potential. Our educational curriculum and activities emphasize the development of the whole person. We will provide opportunities for our students to develop the skills to become confident, self-reliant problem solvers who have a strong sense of their own self-worth and potential, and who will learn to advocate for themselves. We will work hard to provide them with a moral framework that is essential for the development of respectful, responsible citizens in our global world. Students will be encouraged to appreciate their gifts, strive for excellence, and use their talents in the service of others and their families. We welcome the opportunity to work in collaboration with all members of our community to create a positive, supportive and thriving learning environment. Please watch for the Newsletter each month and contact the school if you have any questions or concerns. Communicate daily with your child about their learning so that they can reach their full potential and do not forget to use the Agenda to stay in contact with your child's teacher.
Thank you to our staff who have worked hard to prepare to welcome your children and make them feel like they are a part of our school family.
The T.C.D.S.B. has the focus of "we BELIEVE" this year. We will be working to  incorporate this theme into the day to day activities and events of this school year.
Warmest Regards,
M. Colleen Pontello
