The key to the success of the students of St. Michael's is the emphasis on learning goals, co-created success criteria and practical and timely descriptive feedback. These clear supports provided by all the teachers to all the children help to provide a basis for evaluating student achievement and program effectiveness.
Extra-curricular activities change annually based on the interests of the children as well as the number of children interested in the activities. We have a strong House League and Intramural program which gives all children the opportunity to play a sport with their age groups during lunch.
The school choir is active and sings at school masses and concerts, as well as community events. Excursions from school include visits to the Royal Ontario Museum, Casa Loma, and the Young Peoples' Theatre. In recent years our older children have had the opportunity to participate in an overnight trip at Tim Horton's Camp in Parry Sound.
