Cathedral Choir Schedule

Students walking to cathedral
Many visitors to St. Michael’s Cathedral make a point of attending one of the three weekend Masses where the renowned boys’ choirs regularly sing in order to experience a rich cathedral choral tradition that reaches back to the 1920s—when Monsignor J. E. Ronan, one of the pioneers in the 20th-century renewal of Catholic liturgical music, first established a choir of men and boys at the cathedral.

From September to June, the two Senior Choirs sing on Saturdays at the 5 p.m. Mass and Sundays at the 12 p.m. noon Mass, and the Junior Choir sings at the Sunday 10:00 a.m. Mass.

The Elementary Choir (Grades 3 and 4) has a tradition of singing in the cathedral on Christmas morning, and joins with the other choirs to participate in the annual Massey Hall concerts, one of the high points of the year for both the boys and their families.
