As Blessed Mother Teresa Catholic Secondary School moves into our second quarter century of service to the Malvern community, we do so with a focus on technology.
Many of our staff are fluent in the use different technologies and incorporate a multitude of pedagogical strategies to allow students the chance to succeed.  This year we received funds from a Best Buy program to help start our robotics club.  This year we focused on our Applied Mathematics program with the introduction if a class set of iPad minis.

As a school community we moved toward September 2015 when we began offering a  second High Skills Major (SHSM) program in Arts & Culture.  This is an exciting time in our school history and we will be able to boast having a well-established Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) program in Hospitality, a Congregated Advanced Placement Program (AP) and the Reginal Arts Program (RAP).  Outside of the classroom, students have the opportunity to participate in  activities such as NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers) and Skills Canada. They may also become members of competitive teams in a variety of sports including basketball, volleyball, soccer, track and field, rugby, softball, cross country, and new this year, competitive cheerleading and football (the only Catholic School in Scarborough).  Our successes with these teams/clubs provide numerous venues for students to learn skills, leadership, discipline, and teamwork.

We are the only Catholic School in Scarborough to offer such exciting and diverse academic programs with a strong and varied co-curricular program and know that all of these, housed within the walls of a strong Catholic caring community, will only add to our status as a school of choice in Toronto.
