Special Education – Student Success
The most important information parents want to know is how does Special Education look at St. Patrick?
Special Education is part of the bigger picture of Student Success. Our Student Success Team come with many years of experience in the classroom, in Resource and in Student Success.
At our school we, the Student Succes Resource Team, work hand in hand with our Student Success Team to ensure that all students receive the support they need to be successful. Our Resource Team helps students learn about their own learning profiles and how to advocate in all settings for the accommodations they need to reach their maximum individual potential.
Our Resource Team provides students with an assigned monitoring teacher who communicates with parents, classroom teachers, administrators, Guidance, Child and Youth Workers, etc. to support students’ academic progress at St. Patrick. The Student Success Resource Room (Room 220) is open to all students during school and and after school. Students are encouraged to make use of this calm setting for quiet study, access to computers, printing of assignments, review of concepts taught in the classroom and the opportunity to reinforce skills that are essential to success in high school. We welcome the opportunity to work with your son or daughter to help build their options for the future.
