'Shakespearience' and St. Paul Catholic School

Facillitator with students

The Grade 6/7 students at St. Paul School participated in Shakespearience, a performing arts program aimed to help students gain a better understanding of Shakespeare's written works.  The class was mentored by a certified teaching professional and a professional actor, who together, guided the students through the analysis of short texts and various acting exercises and activities.  In the end, the students performed a short scene from Twelfth Night  which enabled them to  utilize the skills they learned throughout the workshop.  Through this 75-minute interactive program, the students developed skills in the art of performance and the language of Shakespeare.  They were highly engaged and have become more equipped to explore the world of Shakespeare’s timeless stories.
