Loblaw announces Student Nutrition funding at St. Paul Catholic School

 

On Thursday morning, as part of Hunger Awareness Week, Loblaw Chairman and CEO Galen Weston visited St. Paul Catholic School for a special funding announcement.

 

President’s Choice Children’s Charity has made a commitment to grant $150 million over the next 10 years to fund childhood hunger and nutrition education programs across Canada.

 

Sarah Davis (Chair of President’s Choice Children’s Charities), Galen Weston Jr. (Loblaw President and CEO) and Minister of Education Mitzie Hunter spoke about the importance of school nutrition programs and the initiative to ensure that all Canadian children are fed and well nourished.

  

Following the announcement, Minister Hunter and Galen Weston served the students their nutritious morning snack.
