Toronto Catholic District School Board

CSPC - Catholic School Parent Council

With approval from the Board, the Catholic School Advisory Council (CSAC) recently underwent a name change to Catholic School Parents Council (CPSC). News items & resource documents uploaded prior to September 1st, 2015 may have their titles changed to reflect Catholic School Parents Council (CSPC), the text contained within the documents and pages may still contain the name Catholic School Advisory Council (CSAC).  Please note that these two titles are synonymous.

At present, Joanne Noble and Arbelle Manicat-Emo are the CSPC co-chairs for
St. Pius X Catholic School. The executive is rounded out with Todd Leslie as
Treasurer and Kristen Colle as Secretary. CSPC meetings are held on a monthly
basis (on the second Wednesday of every month) and are very well attended.
The St. Pius X CSPC looks to support the school community in all of its
endeavours.

Major past initiatives have seen the addition of a playscape in the south yard
and one in the kindergarten yard, as well as improved street parking and
signage on Jane Street to allow better drop-off and pick-up times and parking
space.

Most recently CSPC has formed two exciting new committees: a Playground
'Greening' Committee and an IT Committee. The Playground Committee will be
looking at ways to improve our yard space for fuller enjoyment while finding ways
to incorporate the greening of our school yard into our students learning
experience, and educate students on the importance of nurturing and sustaining
our natural environment. Our IT Committee will be working closely with the
principal and staff to determine the schools technology needs, research various
grant opportunities to help fund the cost of upgrading these tools for better
classroom learning, and has recently launched a CSPC website. Please visit us
at www.spxcsac.com to see all the latest on CSPC news and events.
