Toronto Catholic District School Board

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

On behalf of the staff here at St. Richard, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our families (new and returning).  It has been a pleasure to welcome all of you to the 2018-2019 school year.   Your children were all so excited to come back! I feel blessed and honoured to be able to continue to serve this wonderful community as your Principal.

As the end of the school year approached in June, we took time to give thanks and bid farewell to Mrs. Doyle, who has become a vice-principal! As well this summer, Mrs. Sullivan retired!  Please join me in thanking her for 30 plus years of service to Catholic education.  We wish her a happy retirement and best of luck in future endeavors!

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome staff members new to the St. Richard community: L. Choe (Core French), S. Roloson (Vocal Music), F. Roche (Child and Youth Worker), A. Samuel (Language Impaired) We also welcome back Mr. Romo who will be filling in for Mrs. Bogatek for a short while!

I would like to thank the caretaking staff of Mr. Greene, Mr. Alfano and Mr. Tardio, who did an amazing job cleaning up the school after the last school year and preparing for the new one.  It was extremely busy over the summer with the upstairs student washrooms being renovated.  Staff and students were truly amazed at how clean the school looked upon their return.  I would also like to extend a huge thank you to Mrs. Dugas who put in long hours to organize the office, register families new to our school community and organize bussing.

We look forward to the excitement that a new school year always brings and to your continued partnership and support of Catholic Education as we welcome in the 2018-2019 school year.  The theme of our new Pastoral Plan this year is “We Belong”.  We belong to the wonderful family that is St. Richard Catholic School!  I look forward to seeing all of you at our upcoming community potluck and curriculum night on October 4th

Yours in Partnership and Catholic Education,

Kevin Ng,

Principal
