Toronto Catholic District School Board

Principal's Message
A Martin Principal.jpgDear Families:

Welcome! On behalf of the St. Robert Catholic School Community, we would like to welcome everyone to a new school year.  We would like to extend a special welcome to all our new students and parents.  We hope that you all had a relaxing, and fun-filled summer with your family and friends.  We hope that you are all ready and eager to begin an exciting and rewarding year.

This year, we will continue to focus our attention on improving student learning and achievement in the area of mathematics.  We want all our students to achieve academic success.  We will focus on literacy and numeracy as these are vital curriculum areas that are vehicles to ALL learning.  Please help us by encouraging your child(ren) to read.  Also look for math in daily life.  Help your children see how mathematics is everywhere and use it as an opportunity to learn.

The 2015-16school year marks a year of Family in our three year liturgical Pastoral plan: Family, Church and School. We will continue to nurture faith and character development within our students.  We will focus on the virtue of each month, with an emphasis on respect for self, respect for others, and respect for our school.  To achieve these goals we will need the input, assistance and support of all the members of the school community.  We will strive to work in partnership with parents and guardians to provide the students with a safe and effective school environment.

This year we welcome Ms. Crispo as Vice– Principal.  Ms. Crispo  and myself, Ms.Martin as Principal are looking forward to exciting opportunities. We are enthusiastic about the activities and events planned for the year ahead.  We are committed to the ideas of students as lifelong learners in the 21st century, through mutual communication and cooperation, every attempt will be made to ensure that each student benefits from rich experiences and expertise.
