Toronto Catholic District School Board

Principal's Message

Welcome to Sts. Cosmas and Damian Catholic School. I am honoured to be the principal at such a vibrant, Catholic, learning community. As a publicly funded Catholic school, we are fortunate to be a faith filled community that partners with the parents, the home and our parish. Working together, we provide your children with a safe, engaging, learning environment.

We are very fortunate at Sts. Cosmas and Damian to be active members of a Catholic, faith filled community, where we celebrate through prayer, and by nurturing the faith development of the children entrusted to us. This is a warm, nurturing school that meets the spiritual, academic and social/ emotional needs of our students.

Our many specialized programs meet the individual needs of all of our students. We are especially proud of our Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program, the only such program in the Toronto Catholic District School Board. We take pride in the many ways that we enhance your child’s experience at Sts. Cosmas and Damian. Our dedicated teachers give of their time and talents to offer a wide variety of opportunities for your children. We have a number of specialized programs in our school including, French, Italian, English as a Second Language, Physical Education, Instrumental and Vocal music.

The Catholic School Advisory Committee supports our school community building initiatives. From pizza lunches to the many sub-committees including Social and Spiritual, Communication, Health and Safety, Fundraising, BBQ and Graduation, our CSAC helps bring us together. This partnership between home, school and parish is at the heart of your children’s success.

I look forward to meeting you at upcoming events and activities!

Sincerely,

Gianna Helling, Principal
