Letter Regarding In-School Efficiencies

 

June 24, 2016

Dear Parents and Guardians of St. Sebastian Catholic School:

 

As you know, the Board of Trustees approved a number of in-school efficiencies in order to achieve a balanced budget for 2016-2017, as required by law under the Ontario Education Act.

 

The TCDSB Facilities and Planning Department has been conducting a review of 20 schools where cleaning and maintenance efficiencies can be found through the closure or consolidation of rooms that do not directly impact on student learning.

 

No decisions have been made at this stage of the review process. Members of the Facilities and Planning Department only just concluded their tours of all 20 schools identified for efficiencies this week. The next step is for a consultation phase, where you will have an opportunity to review any class relocation plans.
Ms. Maia Puccetti and members of her team are scheduled to be at the school on Monday, June 24, 2016 to assess the class room areas identified for consideration.
