Our Eco unit is about to begin and we plan to experience, reflect and make change. It's the only way to go.

Some videos to get you started - Dear Future Generations from Prince EA

Two initial padlets to get you thinking and reflecting

Our basic 4 day plan is below

Pre – eco quiz   and eco attitudinal survey – this might be interesting to see whether their opinions change by end
Pre videos – story of stuff
Bbc earth series
Day 1 – How it takes leadership to reduce stuff – Scarborough  town centre food court vs yorkdale food court
WHY the reduction in garbage matters  share stats
Take a way – how can THEY reduce their footprint – brainstorm examples – take out containers including  subway, restaurants, nutrition program etc - From our experience today, we hope some of you will start bringing your own containers to the food court and ask for your food to go in there instead of just taking the wasteful packaging.
Day 1 padlet is below and remember to consider watching CBC's market place tonight. It's all about reducing packaging.
Day 2 – immersed in shopping – maybe start with baremarket out in west end – example of how retailers make a difference; longos to see difference from bare market
Take away – how they can reduce their footprint in buying habits for groceries
