Toronto Catholic District School Board

Principal's Message

St. Wilfrid Catholic School community is a vibrant, active place where students are encouraged to achieve excellence in all areas of the curriculum as well as nurture their spiritual, social and emotional development. Through continued partnership between home, school and parish, we work together to provide our children with a safe, respectful and engaging learning environment.

At St. Wilfrid Catholic School we are committed to promoting our standards of excellence and providing our students with every opportunity to learn, grow, achieve and celebrate in all that our school has to offer! We take pride in the many ways that we strive to enhance your child’s experience here at St. Wilfrid’s.  Our dedicated teachers give of their time and talents to offer a wide variety of extra-curricular opportunities for your children. We encourage participation in our many clubs, teams, and school events throughout the year!  We keep parents apprised of upcoming events through our monthly newsletters and calendars. Look for our newsletters posted on our school website for our calendar of events and the good news about all that is happening at St. Wilfrid!

We also celebrate the Nurturing our Catholic Community Through Word, Worship, and Witness initiative of the TCDSB. With this year’s focus on Witness, we celebrate witnesses of our faith and highlight the liturgical life of our school and parish. We focus on our monthly virtues through highlighting Gospel values in our daily prayers that reflect those virtues we strive to model and live by, as taught to us by Jesus. For example, in September we reflect on the virtue of hospitality and reflect on how we can show love towards others by welcoming them into our community, our classrooms, and treating everyone with kindness.  In October we will reflect on Gratitude and focus on all of the blessings we have to be grateful for in our school community and in our lives. For an overview of the monthly virtues celebrated throughout the TCDSB, check out the board website for more information! With Catholic Graduate Expectations in mind, our students are given the support and guidance to build a solid foundation that will bring them success throughout elementary school and beyond.
