Over 1500 students from multiple schools across the city (both in person and via livestream) took part in this year’s Mock Criminal Trial at Father Henry Carr Catholic Secondary School. The trial was hosted by Father Henry Carr's Canadian & World Studies Department, under the direction of Vince A. Pileggi who is both the Department Head and a lawyer.

Our gymnasium underwent a stunning transformation, evolving into a courtroom with a dignified dais, counsel tables, a jury box, and a witness stand. In this immersive experience, students witnessed a simulated crime unfold, culminating in a dramatic arrest. Subsequently, the accused faced a full-fledged trial, presided over by a distinguished judge and assessed by a discerning jury comprised of students.

A heartfelt thank you to all who contributed to this unforgettable event! Our gratitude extends to the dedicated professionals who brought authenticity to the trial, and to the students who embraced their roles as witnesses or jury members, adding a layer of realism to the proceedings. Your collective efforts made the 2024 Mock Criminal Trial a true success, leaving a lasting impact on our school community.
