Dress Code

The Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) has implemented a mandatory appropriate dress code, which is in effect at St. Barnabas Catholic School. Here is a review of what is acceptable wear at school:

  • The dress code consists of any combination of white and navy blue garments (e.g., plain white top, navy blue bottom or, navy blue top and bottom, no denim or t-shirts).

  • Collared shirts only. Shirts must not have any logos or graphics, including stripes.

  • Sweater or hoodies must be white or navy blue, including the laces, and must not have any logos or graphics, including stripes.

  • No school jerseys or t-shirts are permitted.

  • All shorts and skirts must be fingertip length or longer. Only walking shorts are permitted. No students are allowed to wear their pants low, which is known as low riding.

  • A change of clothing for Physical Education classes is strongly recommended for students in Grade 4 to 8. Students can wear any combination of colours for the classes, including t-shirts, shorts or school jerseys.
