Includes

  • Long or short sleeved collared shirts or blouses; turtleneck or mockneck shirts; sweaters, cardi-​gans, vests, hoodies and fleeces.

  • Pants (cotton, fleece, nylon, corduroy); shorts (cotton, fleece, nylon), skirts, skorts, tunics . Length must be no shorter than mid-thigh for all shorts and skirts.

Does not include

  •  Sleeveless shirts

  • Denim, lycra, yoga pants, jeggings, tights/leggings (unless under a skirt)

St. Thomas More students demonstrate pride and respect for themselves when they come to school neat and tidy.

*Please Note: Items must be navy or white (not baby blue or other shades of blue; or off-white or beige).

  • No accent colours (e.g. stripes or buttons)

  • Items must not have any graphics or logos (other than the school approved logo).

  • Items may be purchased at any store.

  • Non uniform tops are permitted for gym classes, but must be changed after the class has ended.

  •  Navy or white knee socks/tights when skirts are worn.

  • Appropriate footwear for daily activities.

(The Administration reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of any garment.)

Dress Code in TCDSB Schools

All Elementary schools within the jurisdiction of the Board shall adopt an Appropriate Dress Code or Uniform Dress Code.

All Secondary schools within the jurisdiction of the Board shall adopt a Uniform Dress Code.

Parents are encouraged to review the local dress code at their child’s school and to direct their questions to the principal of the school.
