The Toronto Catholic District School Board offers credit courses under the OSS curriculum guidelines. Parents and students must consult with their day school guidance counsellor or vice-principal/principal regarding their course selections, prerequisite courses and diploma requirements. Course selections must be made in accordance with the Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum guidelines. Diploma requirements and course descriptions are listed on the Ontario Ministry of Education Web site:

The TCDSB reserves the right to cancel a class.  A preliminary list of cancelled courses will be available on the evening of Thursday, June 30th. It is the student's responsibility to check our website for a list of all cancelled classes.

We are offering the following type of credits this summer:

NEW CREDIT COURSES: Open to all high school students and adults with the appropriate pre-requisites, students may take a new credit, or re-take a course previously attempted to upgrade a mark. Students may register for a maximum total of two new credit courses this summer or a combination of up to two upgrading courses during session 1 and one new credit course in session 2.
*Please note: Career Studies (GLC 2O3) and Civics and Citizenship (CHV 2O3) are two separate half credit courses. Each half credit course follows the same timelines as a new credit course; therefore, students are expected to participate in each half credit course for the entire session. Students interested in these half credit courses must register in these courses separately.
*Please note: You must have completed and have a successful mark in the prerequisite course (if applicable) to apply for a new credit course.
UPGRADING COURSES: These courses enable students to obtain one full credit by repeating 55 hours of instruction. Students must have a minimum mark of 35%. Students may register for a maximum of two upgrading credit courses this summer during session one remote learning in either morning (AM) or afternoon (PM) time slots.

These courses are offered through an asynchronous online learning model using Brightspace D2L. Asynchronous Learning does not occur in-real time. Students respond to course content, lessons, or assessments typically through accessing the learning platform where the teacher has placed these activities. Although this can seem to look like independent work, ideas, response, and feedback can still occur. The feedback does not happen simultaneously with the teacher. Students are expected to log in daily. eClass is available to adult learners and students.
