We are offering the following type of credits this semester:
Types of Courses Description
New Credit These courses enable students to obtain one full credit toward their diploma in a subject that was not previously taken. Students may register for a maximum of two new credit courses (one eClass and one in-class course or two eClass courses). Use the menu on the left to navigate to our new credit courses or view our program flyer to see a list.
Remedial Credit Courses These 60 hours courses are open to all high school students who completed the course in the previous two years and earned a final mark below 50%. Students who have successfully completed the credit with a mark of 50% or higher are not eligible for remedial credit courses. Students may register for a maximum of two remedial credit courses (one a.m. and one p.m.).
Transfer Credit Course This is a partial credit course that bridges the gap between courses of two types in the same subject and different levels. The only transfer course offered this summer is for Grade 9 Math Applied to Academic and is available at summer school locations that are offering the remedial MPM 1DZ course.
Elementary Summer School Program We offer both a non-credit for grade 6, 7 and 8 in Literacy/Numeracy and a credit course program for grade 8 students entering a high school in September. Contact your elementary school for information on the grade 6, 7 and 8 literacy/numeracy program.
