Our School
About Us
At Canadian Martyrs Catholic School, we pride ourselves on the strong partnership that exists among the home, the school and the parish.
School Facilities and Programs
We serve students from Full-Day Junior and Senior Kindergarten through Grade 8, offering a balanced mix of academic and co-curricular activities.
Our school has expanded over the years to include a gymnasium, elevator, library, and additional classrooms, complementing the original traditional rectangular design.
Bi-monthly assemblies celebrate the Virtues of the Month and the Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations as demonstrated by our students.
Academic Excellence
Our students consistently perform well academically, supported by high standards, dedicated staff, and a welcoming, small-school environment.
In addition to regular classes, we offer pull-out programs for English as a Second Language (ESL) and Special Education.
Extracurricular Activities
Students participate in board-wide sports competitions, in-house leagues, W5H, hockey, and other activities when available.

School History
Canadian Martyrs Catholic School has deep ties to the East York community. In 2022, we celebrated our 70th anniversary with a liturgy, family celebration, and a community pilgrimage to the Shrine. Many current students have parents and grandparents who also attended Canadian Martyrs Catholic School, sharing cherished memories of First Communion, Confirmation, and school life.
Our School Name
Our school is named in honour of the Canadian Martyrs—missionaries who came to this land to spread the faith and gave their lives in the process. We are privileged to be located beside Canadian Martyrs Church and near the Canadian Martyrs Shrine in Midland, Ontario.
