Our School History

Holy Name Catholic School opened in 1913, originally staffed by the Sisters of St. Joseph. Key milestones include:

  • 1913–1918: Initial construction and expansion to 12 classrooms

  • 1931–1949: Addition of portables and an 8-room extension

  • 1957–1961: Construction and expansion of the annex

  • 1968: Annex joined to the main building, adding a library, gym, and more classrooms

Over the decades, our community has evolved from predominantly Irish and Italian roots to a richly multicultural student body today.
