St. Antoine Daniel Catholic School

Parent Council

Parents and guardians play a significant role in ensuring the success of our students. Our Catholic School Parent Council (CSPC) provides a forum for families to understand, engage and support issues that affect the education of our students.

What We Do

We are a group of parents from this school who meet every other month with the principal and the parents of our community. We offer input to the Principal on matters which concern the school as a whole (for example the school's Code of Behaviour). We also raise funds to provide educational resources for the classroom and extra activities for the students, such as busing for field trips, special arts presentations, scientists in the school presentations and special celebrations for students receiving sacraments.

When and Where

The St. Antoine Daniel CSPC meets every other month at 7:00 PM in the school library. Every parent is welcome. We vary the meeting dates on different days of the week because the same day is not always good for everyone. Look for the dates in the school newsletter.

Why We Do It

That's simple. We are all here for one reason and that is to offer whatever support we can to enrich the school life of our children. Whether it's offering input into the School's Code of Behaviour or something as simple as helping out with a hot dog lunch or pizza lunch.

How We Do It

This is the most important part. We can't be a CSPC if we don't get parents involved. We need and encourage as much parent participation as you are willing to give. We can only offer programs in the school if we have enough volunteers to run them. If you are able to help out with one of our CSPC sponsored initiatives we would like to offer the students this year, please leave your contact information at the number listed below. You can be involved as much or as little as you like.

I would also like to make it my personal goal to encourage one parent from each family to come to one CSPC meeting during this school year. We want to hear the opinions and suggestions from as many of you as possible. That way your CSPC can properly represent all the families in the school. We ask for your help to make this year the best ever at St. Antoine Daniel!
