St. Barnabas Catholic Elementary School celebrated a highly successful Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser on June 10, 2026. This event brought together students, staff, and families in an amazing display of community spirit and commitment to promoting heart health.
In the days leading up to the event, there was some concern about the weather, as rain was forecast. However, our prayers were answered, and the rain held off, allowing the day’s activities to proceed outdoors as planned. The bright skies and positive energy created the perfect setting for students to showcase their skipping skills while supporting an important cause.
Students of all ages participated with great excitement, jumping, skipping, and cheering one another on. The atmosphere reflected our Catholic values of compassion and service, as participants took pride in supporting heart health initiatives.
This success would not have been possible without the dedication and generosity of our entire school community:
Students showed incredible effort and commitment in raising funds and participating wholeheartedly.
Staff, especially our beloved Grade 2 teacher, Mrs. Capone, worked tirelessly to organize and supervise the event, ensuring it ran smoothly and safely.
Parents and families provided outstanding support through donations. Our goal of $1,000 was surpassed by $2,500. Thanks to all our families, especially the one who raised over $1,200.
Together, the St. Barnabas community demonstrated that when we unite for a meaningful cause, we can make a real difference. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of this special day.
We look forward to continuing this wonderful tradition in the years to come.
