Biotechnology Program

The Biotechnology Program at St. Basil-the-Great College School provides students with the opportunity to pursue their curiosity through enhanced courses.

Students in biotechnology will be given multiple opportunities to:

  • Engage in enriched Science courses designed to challenge students academically and nurture student curiosity.

  • Join various reach ahead opportunities including a visit to the University of Toronto, Mississauga: Masters of Biotechnology Program and Institut Clinique Recherche de Montreal.

  • Participate in exciting experiential learning opportunities such as:

    • DNA Fingerprinting Lab (offered by Ontario Science Centre).

    • Genetic Update Conference.

    • Gairdner Conference at the University of Toronto.

    • Glaxo-Smith-Kline- international pharmaceutical company.

    • Use various technology to create, collaborate, communicate, and critically think about issues and careers related to math, science, and technology.

Upon completion of this specialty program, Biotechnology students will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement.
