Our School History and Tradition

  • We opened in the fall of 1952 as one of the first Catholic schools established in the south-central area of North York.

  • Originally, we served a newly developed rural community and have continued to grow alongside the neighbourhood.

  • Today, we welcome a diverse student population of more than 200 students.

  • We are named after St. Charles Borromeo, a renowned Church leader who devoted his life to the renewal and welfare of the Catholic Church.

  • St. Charles Borromeo:

    • Played a significant role in the Council of Trent

    • Was known for his leadership and service

    • Demonstrated a strong commitment to education and faith

  • We celebrate his feast day on November 4.

  • Today, we proudly honour our rich history and Catholic traditions.

  • We provide a welcoming, faith-filled environment where students are encouraged to grow in:

    • Learning

    • Leadership

    • Service
