Our School
Dress Code
St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School continues to follow the approved navy and white dress code, with the option to purchase crested pieces for school Masses, field trips, and special occasions. McCarthy Uniforms is our official supplier for crested items.
The dress code includes any combination of the following:
Plain white or navy tops – no graphics, stripes, or patterns (e.g., polka dots)
Plain navy bottoms – no denim or white bottoms
The responsibility for ensuring students follow the dress code lies primarily with parents and guardians. The success of this policy depends on full participation from all students. If a student repeatedly arrives in clothing that does not meet the dress code, the progressive discipline policy will be applied.
Footwear Guidelines
As the weather cools, please ensure students leave a pair of indoor shoes at school. Footwear should be suitable for all school activities.
Flip-flops, Crocs, and open-toed sandals are not recommended.
Only non-marking running shoes should be worn during gym time.
Dress Code in TCDSB Schools
All Elementary schools within the jurisdiction of the Board shall adopt an Appropriate Dress Code or Uniform Dress Code.
Parents are encouraged to review the local dress code at their child’s school and to direct their questions to the principal of the school.
