The Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) proudly hosted the LEGO Robotics Skills Ontario Qualifier competitions at St. André Catholic School, with the Junior Division competing on March 25 and the Intermediate Division on March 26. These exciting two days brought together 8 Junior teams and 13 Intermediate teams from across the board, all showcasing their innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in STEM.

A special highlight of the event was the visit from Mr. Tom Rakocevic, MPP for Humber River–Black Creek, along with Mr. Derek Boyce, Associate Director of Corporate Services & Chief Commercial Officer, and Mr. Adrian Della Mora, Associate Director of Academic Affairs & Chief Operating Officer. Their support emphasized the Board’s commitment to fostering STEM excellence and student success.

St. Gabriel Lalemant led the way in both divisions, securing 1st place in the Junior and Intermediate categories. In the Junior Division, St. Bonaventure placed 2nd, followed by St. Brendan in 3rd. The Intermediate Division saw Transfiguration of Our Lord take 2nd place, with a tie for 3rd place between St. André and D'Arcy McGee.

A sincere thank you to our generous sponsor, Caution Tape Robotics, for providing the game elements that made the competition possible. Congratulations to all teams for their hard work, creativity, and team spirit!
