About Us

At St. Jane Frances Catholic School, we are committed to providing a safe, caring, and enriching learning environment for all students. In partnership with St. Jane Frances Parish and our parent community, student well-being and achievement remain our highest priorities. Together, we strive to help each student reach their full potential in an inclusive community where relationships are nurtured, faith is deepened, and every child is valued. Our goal is to support and inspire our students as they grow into compassionate, collaborative, confident, and responsible Catholic leaders.

Our website is intended to provide information about our school and to outline expectations for students. A shared vision and ongoing communication between home and school are essential to student success.

At St. Jane Frances, we embrace the challenges of the future while cherishing and celebrating the traditions that define our school. With the dedication of our staff, the support of our families, and the enthusiasm of our students, we continue to build a welcoming and faith-filled school community.

Mission Statement

In a school community which is formed by Catholic values and traditions, our mission is to educate students to their full potential by providing:

  • Leadership in a shared responsibility for education that exists among schools, students, families, parishes and the community.

  • A safe and welcoming learning environment that is an example of a Christian community.

  • Role models of Gospel values and Catholic doctrines, teachings, and beliefs guidance in what students need to learn.

  • Instruction in the learning process.

  • Religious, academic and technological instruction.

  • Integration of Catholic beliefs into the total learning experience and feedback on students’ proficiency and performance.

School History

St. Jane Frances Catholic School opened in October 1964 with 169 students and a staff of seven, led by Principal John Raniowski. A school addition was completed in 1967 to support growing enrolment.

Expansion and Renovation

In 2000, with the planned closure of St. Camillo, construction plans for St. Jane Frances began. A building committee met with architects in May 2001 to review designs, followed by a community meeting in May 2002 to present the final plans.

By October 2002, Grades 5–8 moved into portables, and other classes relocated to the south wing. In early 2003, Torcom Construction was awarded the contract to build a new three-storey wing and retrofit the south wing. Demolition of the north wing began in April 2003.

As enrolment increased, specialty classes were temporarily moved to the church basement. By September 2004, students and staff moved into the new wing, and by January 2005, eight additional classrooms in the south wing were ready for use.

Our Patron Saint

The school is named after St. Jane Frances de Chantal (1572–1641), whose feast day is celebrated on August 18.
