On September 29, 2022, the Members of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for Etobicoke-Lakeshore, Christine Hogarth, joined the Toronto Catholic District School Board staff at St. Leo Catholic School to announce the province’s approval to award the tender for construction and the demolition of the replacement St. Leo Catholic Elementary School. This is supported by an investment of $28.8 million, which includes additional funding of $6.2 million.

Highlights of the project include:

  • 500 new student spaces
  • 49 new childcare spaces
  • 3 new childcare rooms
  • 1 new EarlyON Child and Family Centre
