Dress Code

St. Theresa Shrine Catholic School adopts the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) Appropriate Dress Code for all students.

The dress code is any combination of white and navy blue garments. Tops (shirt, blouse, polo shirt, etc.) should be an appropriately solid navy or white colour (no patterns, prints, or logos) with a collar. Bottoms should be solid navy dress pants, or appropriate-length skirts, pinafores, or shorts.

All student attire must be in keeping with our Catholic teachings and beliefs, and reflect the principles of modesty and shall not include the following:

  • Short shorts/skirts, bare midriffs, halter tops, tank tops, etc.

  • Accessories such as spiked bracelets / necklaces or others not in keeping with the spirit of the dress code as determined by the local school.

  • Language or representation on attire that depicts violence, profanity, or discrimination of any kind whatsoever or that otherwise demeans an identifiable individual or group.

Parents are encouraged to review the local dress code at their child’s school, and to direct their questions to the principal of the school.
